Nov 26th, 2021: Performance of "Pule Hoʻomakaʻi" at UH Mānoa and online

"And Simply, the Moon" - a concert

Program includes contemporary and traditional Japanese music compositions such as:

  • Uguisu (The Nightingale) by HAYASAKA Fumio, 1944
  • Rokudan no Shirabe, by YATSUHASHI Kengyō, late 17th c.
  • Tsukiyo no Kenshi (Moonlight Warrior) by MIKI Minoru, 1977
  • Pule Hoʻomaikaʻi (Prayer for Safekeeping) by Marty REGAN, 2017
  • Jūgoya (The Full Moon) by Kenny ENDO, 2000
